How to make Vietnamese Pickled Cabbage
In this post I’ll show you a quick way to pickle cabbage with water-dropwort.
1 half cabbage
2 tbs salt
2 tbs sugar
2 tbs vinegar
chilli pepper (optional)
Firstly, wash all the veggie carefully, choose only the young stems of the mints and the water dropwort.
Then slice the mints thinly, the water dropwort in 1- inch long, and the cabbage as thin as possible. Don’t forget to slice the ginger as well.
After that, mix all the veggie together.
Now pour a liter of lukewarm water in the jar, add the sugar, salt and vinegar into it, then stir well. After that, add the veggie, including the ginger and chilli-pepper. Press them down and continue with the rest until the jar is full.
Then cover it up. After one day, the pickled cabbage is ready to be served. And that’s it, very fast and simple 😉
