Easy 10-Minute Crispy Pork-Egg Cakes
Hi everyone, today I’ll show you a very quick and easy recipe how to make crispy pork-egg cakes with only 3 main ingredients: ground pork, eggs and roasted onion flakes.
200g ground pork
40g roasted onion flake
1 tsp fish sauce
1/2 tsp chicken powder (optional)
Firstly, crack the eggs into the bowl, then mix until pale and fluffy.
After that, add in the ground pork, separate the trunk and mix until well combined.
Now add in the onion flakes, roughly stir around, then season with 1 tsp fish sauce and 1/2 tsp chicken powder. Continue to mix for about 10 seconds.
Next, prepare a non-stick skillet with about 5 tbsp vegetable oil, turn the heat to high. As long as it starts to bubble around the dry chopsticks, add the mixture gradually in and lower the heat to medium-high. Use a spoon to spread out and flatten the cakes.
Fry for about 2 mins then flip to the other side. Fry them until golden brown on both sides then take them out.
You can place a kitchen towel on the plate to absorb the excess oil, but I let them be that way so that they won’t get too dry. And that’s it. I usually serve these with chilli or sweet-sour sauce, along side with steamed white rice but you but can experiment with other kind of sauces you like.
